  20. leanmeantrashmachine said: Until I was 12 we had cats that were in and out our cat door with collars and chips but my parents learned that it just wasn’t necessary. They’d be worried about them and they also killed little animals all the time so now they don’t do that. Meanwhile I now have my own baby whose 4 and was a stray before and even though I know he could function outside it just seems so unsafe for the cat and birds and now. So I do think generations are learning this more now
