favorite trope is when the gays r like “run away with me” to the person they’ve been pining over since like forever
i can say with full confidence that carly rae jepsen's music is 100% authentic BECAUSE the themes in her songs are repetitive. she's feeling this constant pain and anguish of unspoken heartbreak that she can't figure out how to properly articulate. and i think the fact that she ended E•MO•TION with "When I Needed You" on the standard CD and then "Love Again" on the Deluxe, then Dedicated with "Real Love" on the standard CD and "Party For One" on the Deluxe shows just how frustrated she is about all of that. She's constantly opening her albums up with her opening up her heart to shitty men and then ending her albums with songs along the theme of "God why can't i get this right? I'll just have to move on and hope for a better tomorrow" AND IT SUCKS when you listen to her voice in consideration to the lyrics. Like. Gimmie Love is literally carly screaming at the top of her lungs "Dear god please love me why won't you love me i need this so bad in my life just please give me love already" and then it sucks even more because then you realize that this is precisely why gimmie love is repetitive on purpose cuz her cries are falling on deaf ears and basically what im trying to say is i hope someday she finds the love she's looking for because she's so clearly frustrated and i want her to be happy and E•MO•TION really is that good except for black heart fuck her. I'm rooting for you carly.
All y'all sound like a despondent Victorian with how many commas you throw around, meanwhile I, a concise and admirable writer, who uses short sentences to precisely convey mine intent, like unto Hemingway, am blameless before God, and have made no such transgression in the eyes of my fellow man, all words being consistent, to the point, and simple without a compound sentence to be seen—
The teenager was asked to write a short scene or draw a short comic using a comedic trope from a list on a handout in their HS American Lit class. They chose to do the comic …

We're both looking at the same moon, in the same world. We're connected to reality by the same line. All I have to do is quietly draw it towards me.

wild to think about the fact that, right now, as you read this, there’s a fandom server on discord having drama the likes of which we could not even fathom
